The My Special Word Book series was created to complement the My Special Word experience and to provide a tangible resource and reminder to youth.
Global education nonprofit Worldreader and My Special Word are pleased to announce a partnership that will bring a new reading program focused on social-emotional learning to children across the US.
The program will bring a unique collection of digital books focused on the power of positive words and bold characters that live by those words to children and their families. Children will have an opportunity to explore self and social awareness, decision making, and relationships throughout the lens of these characters. The bilingual (English and Spanish) reading program focuses on three distinct age groups: 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 years old. Each book is accomplished by activities exploring these themes to encourage conversations at home. A teacher toolkit will also be available to support program delivery in classrooms.
Through this program, Worldreader and My Special Word will give children the support they need to develop as readers and confident young people, ready to take on challenges and build a better world.
